AT&T Conferencing End of Life

AT&T Position: No official answer at this time.
The Intellor Take: A customer might email [email protected] to request trailing 12 months usage and RDI registration reports. The customer will want to understand how many folders they have, to whom they belong, what the usage has been, and whether any reserved calls are scheduled.
AT&T Position: No official answer at this time.
The Intellor Take: AT&T is obligated to allow reservations for government customers due to ongoing contractual commitments. Because government and commercial customers use the same reservation channels, issues may occur.
AT&T Position: No official answer at this time.
The Intellor Take: The AT&T Teleconference Service will be shut down on December 15. While customer-specific turndown dates may vary, support is likely to be limited or delayed due to diminished human resources.
AT&T Position: No official answer at this time.
The Intellor Take: While data is likely to remain in the system for some time, customers that rely on it would be wise to periodically review and download data.
Calls
AT&T Position: No official answer at this time.
The Intellor Take: If your customer already has a call reserved after 12/15, we expect AT&T will honor it. But we would always advise customers to err on the side of caution for critical calls – earnings calls, etc.
AT&T Position: No official answer at this time.
The Intellor Take: We expect results to vary. When a reservation-less folder is deactivated will likely be determined by some combination of the bridge on which it resides, whether the customer initiated a delete order before 12/15, and when AT&T reaches the folder in the shutdown process.
AT&T Position: No official answer at this time.
The Intellor Take: Our best guess? A “conference not found” announcement. Why? We believe callers will get to the bridge. (Many bridges carry commercial and government traffic – and so can’t simply be shut down.) When the party enters an access code for a deactivated folder, that’s when we believe they’ll get the announcement.
AT&T Position: No official answer at this time.
The Intellor Take: It’s unclear whether or when AT&T will suspend access to or delete data, but customers would be wise to retrieve or request all needed reports and recordings asap.
